The Finals - Week 2 2023

We may have done a few miles last week however the rotating finals systems has us pretty close to home today. A prelim at nearby Sale next week is the prize on offer today.

Our C Graders had a blistering start against the Tigers last week and finished off a strong win. Our last outing v Drouin ended in a draw so it could be a real nail biter for spectators today. Our players have what it takes and their cool heads could be the difference today. It’ll take full-on focus to the final hooter to get the W today. You can do it.

Our 16’s are ready to make the most of the double chance they earned and get the W today. It’s been real close footy for 7 of 8 qtrs this season v the Parrots and no doubt it’ll be another hard fought contest today.

13’s showed composure in a tense, see-sawing battle and came away with a 2 goal win. It’s 1 each v today’s opponent Moe with each winning at home by a similar margin. Winning form is good form and we’re poised to get the W and progress to the Prelim.

Our 15’s blew their opponents away early last week and a strong start is required again today to put the pressure squarely on the opposition. The Parrots are always ready to take advantage of a any lapse and playing right to the end of the game is so important today. Our best is good enough and a game next week is for the taking.

Or 18’s season came to a close last week and the player should be proud of their achievement in making the top 5. Their season built week by week and their improvement is a testament to their willingness to be coachable and have a go. Well done.
