On the road again….. the first of an away double header. And what a day it will be of footy and netball. Every game v the Moe Lions today could go down to the wire and there’s plenty on the line.
The firsts got off to a good start last week and after going to sleep in the 3rd worked their way back for a win. There’ll be no such luxury today. It’s 10 years since we’ve won at the Lions’ den. A win today will get that monkey off the back and also honour those that have gone before us by keeping us ahead in the overall wins tally.
Our A graders are in for the challenge and are ready to take it up to the reigning premiers today. Our B’s are outsiders but start the game at nil all and anything can happen from there. If our C’s apply themselves they are a verry good show to get on the winners list today.
The twos v Moe is always a battle royale and our boys should bounce back with W and stay near the ladders top. Our 18’s & 16’s will need to fully play every second to get the W with each encounter a fabled “8 point game”
A win could see our 13’s possibly move into the top 5. Our 15’s & 17’s are playing solid netball and go in favourites and must win to stick with the top 5 group.
It was pretty much a full house for the Trivia Night last week. It was a great way to celebrate a few wins and maintain a strong vibe around the place.
Thanks to all our volunteers who simply got in and did whatever needed to be done to run a successful home game & sponsors/life members function. Three home games in four rounds has many, many pluses however it is pretty full-on from a volunteer point of view, so heartfelt thanks for your efforts.
Special thanks to the two Presidents for their work during last week’s function too.
