Another successful home game last week. Thanks to all who helped make the day run smoothly. The ground looked sensational and the rain held off making the footy and netball better for players and spectators. A fun night was had with our Ipod shuffle & impromptu beer pong tournament. There was plenty going on. Thanks to our social crew for getting it all organised.
Last week our Seniors had a great 4qtr effort to get win number 1 on the board, 4ths rebounded from a tough opener and got over the line by 1pt in a nail-biter and our development side are top of the ladder following their strong win.
All good wishes to Tom Blenheim for a strong recovery after being poleaxed last week. He and Youngy had a long night in emergency. He’s been super impressive in his first couple of appearances in Redlegs colours and hopefully we get to watch him out on the park soon.
On the court our A’s made a tough task more difficult with a slow start each qtr however our 13’s & 17’s broke through for their first win and our 15’s notched win number 2 and head the ladder.
Great achievement by Will Malady who, following a strong Gippy Power U16’s campaign, has been selected for Vic Country U16 squad trials. Well done Will.
Well done to U16 player Chidi Otuonye who has racked up 50 Club games.
Our Junior footyers start their season tomorrow with a trip to Orbost to take on the Blues. They all had a great time at their season launch on Friday night and are super keen for a fun year.
Our Youth Girls also kick off tomorrow with a home game v Dusties. Match starts at 12 midday so if you’re about get down to City Oval. The girls would really love your support.
Hutchy won $500- in last week’s President’s Club Draw and BRAC got the Lucke’s Fresh Food Hamper.
