Huge thanks to all for your generosity as we raised a tick over $100,000 to help Fight MND. Special thanks to all of you who turned out and really created an exciting atmosphere on the day. A double celebration today with Andrew Nelson & Nathan Dennison each playing their 100th senior game for the Redlegs. We thank them for their service and wish them well today. Make sure you give them an extra loud cheer each time they’ve got the footy today.
So here we are at the half way mark and all games today are crucial to our finals chances. In the 1sts it seems we’re really in a battle for 5th with Sale & Morwell so the next block of 4 games really are do or die. If the twos want to play finals footy then they simply must win today. Our 3rds & 4ths are set for really tight games today. Both teams have shown plenty of character of late and are good enough to win.
Our A’s face a Challenge today and our C’s must win after dropping a game last week. All our junior sides will be close hard fought contests and wins today are significant in the context of their season.
With no junior footy last Sunday, our Eastern All Stars took on Southern at Warragul in a big day of AFL Gippsland Dahlsens All Stars footy action. Well done to all our Redlegs that took part.
Our Youth Girls snuck over the line v Bunyip by 3 points at Moe last week to continue their winning form. Jessica Grimsted, Sophie Hamilton, Lydia Gudgin, Brianna Foster, Zoe Cotter, Sara Melrose were the better players on the day. Gudge & Tayah have the team working well together and are sitting in the top 5. A big game & big trip to Korumburra tomorrow to take on the Giants. All the best girls.
Our 11’s & 13’s take on Lucknow tomorrow in what will be some good games of footy. Our 15’s don’t get to start as Lucknow are unable to field a team. Footy action stats at 10:30am. Your support at Lucknow tomorrow will be really appreciated by the kids so get there if you can.
