It’s been a while and isn’t it great to be home. Let’s make the most of it.
Our A Graders got the monkey off their backs last week, notching up their first win of the season. Even sweeter to be over our long time rivals the Sale Magpies. Great reward for effort girls. Stick at it and with each other.
At the footy, we welcomed the 2’s back to the winners list, the u18’s turned a 2 goal ¾ time deficit into a two goal win and the 16’s survived a late Magpie surge to salute by 4 goals. 5 goals each to Alex McLaren, Tom Hudson & Max East helped their sides get home. In the ones, the Pies ripped our hearts out with a last gasp goal to snatch the Dahlsens Cup by a point. It’s theirs for the summer lets make sure it comes home for the winter.
Thanks to the Sale FNC trainers (and our own) who took great care of Jesse following his head knock last week. A few weeks R&R now for Jesse and a strong recovery.
Huge Congrats to our U17 coach Dani Johnson who plays game 100 for the Redlegs today. Make an effort to get over to the B Grade game (from 1:20pm) and give her a cheer. She’ll appreciate your support.
Congratulations to Bairnsdale Netball Association who took out the u17 division at the Association Championships last weekend. A well earned win for a great group of girls.
Well done to Tom Selleck & Will Bromage who played in the U18 interleague on Wednesday.
A huge thank you to our team of gate keepers, a job made more onerous by additional regulations. Your support with this most important job is really appreciated.
There’s a new look over at the netball today. Make sure you head over and watch the girls in action wearing their new dresses.

It was a tough Sunday for our Juniors and Youth Girls. Both faced top of the table teams in Wy Yung & Traralgon. We had plenty of the ball in all games and strung together some great passages of play.
We’ve got a great group of Auskickers at the Club who practice their skills and have a bit of fun every Thursday evening. Thanks to Tom Hardy for all his great work with the kids and also his assistants Presto & Moose.
Any white will do TONIGHT at the Club social rooms for our Mid-Season “White Night” Ball . To clear any confusion, just wear something white, you definitely don’t have to wear all white. LIVE band The Ferriters, supper from New Leaf and drinks at bar prices. Tickets are just $30-. See you at 7pm
