As the saying goes, a week is a long time in football and netball so last week is in the distant past and we have a fresh opportunity to prove our worth today.
Thanks to our home away from home the North Pier Hotel in Cowes for looking after us this weekend. It’s a highlight of our social calendar and wins against the Power will make our stay even better.
It was great to have the TRFM Gippsland Live team at the City Oval last week. Their radio call and the coverage and profile they provide our League is an amazing boost to country footy in Gippsland.
Congratulations to Corey Timms on his 50 game milestone last week along with Boris Bryant & Brodie Anderson for game number 1. Well done fellas.
Further congratulations to our U17 netballers Anna Mooney, Brielle Malady & Jordy O’Connor who began with the Netball Vic Talent Academy last weekend at Newborough

A big thank you to our volunteer of the week Robyn Eastman. Robyn’s a big part of the team that gets the canteen up and running on a home game and the meals together on a Thursday night.
Our Youth Girls’ season kicked off last weekend and they face Sale @ Sale in round two. A stopover on your way home tomorrow to bring some red & blue support at the ground would be awesome.
Our juniors are building momentum and improving every week. Saxon Buckley played the game of his life in the u13’s last week whilst Kye Alkemade left the OSR u15’s in his wake with his blistering speed. With a solid 22 in the u11’s and 30 Auskickers, the future is looking bright at the Redlegs.
The BIG Freeze to Fight MND is set for the Queen’s Birthday weekend and is taking on a life of its own. Thanks to Warragul FNC for their support and the EGFNL Clubs for jumping on board too. Keep an eye out to see how you can get involved too.
