Rnd4 Record Notes

Welcome to all for our rnd4 game v Traralgon. There’s plenty on the line in all games so don’t go anywhere. Today’s competition v the Maroons looks like this…..

Footy – 6v7 in the 1’s, 1v4 in the 2’s, 2 v 1 in the 3’s whilst the 4ths take on the current 1000%ers.

Netball – The A’s is 10 v 8, C’s 8 v 6, 17’s 7v4 15’s 5v3 13’s 1v2 whilst the B’s challenge is 10v1. Moe 2’s faced this scenario last week and came away with the win so possibilities are what you make them.

What’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever heard someone say? U16 Captain Cohen Frith was making plenty of sense last week. Cohen’s been sidelined through injury and has used the layoff to share some insights with his team mates to help them be better. He returns to playing today where he’ll continue his leadership & coaching in his more favoured on-field style - in amongst it.

Our Youth Girls’ (u17) season launch took place on Wednesday night with a good crowd in attendance. The players all received their guernsey and are keen to get in the action. Competition kicks off tomorrow at home v Traralgon so head back here for more great footy action. Our 11’s, 13’s & 15’s take on Orbost Snowy Rovers from 10:30am. Right now is the best time to get involved in junior footy.

Remember Bingo Is Back! Every Thursday & Saturday night. Rolling Jackpots recommenced May 6th. Thanks very much to our volunteers and also to our bingo players for their support.

The Great Aussie Hike - Congratulations to Jaqui Banson, Rachel Bromage, Tamara Cook, Chris Banson & Lou Blandford who took on the rail trail and conquered the 60km walk from Nowa Nowa to Bairnsdale. Super effort.

Carlee Knight and her team also took on the rail trail and completed the 100km journey from Orbost to Bairnsdale in two days. They also raised around $3,500 for mental health programs. Awesome.

After the Game: Tonight we’re heading to our Gold sponsor The Bairnsdale Club for a meal and drinks. Always a great feed at the Club and when you throw in great company there’s no place you’d rather be. See you there.

Our young A Grade team has taken on some classy opposition in recent weeks. Today is a great opportunity to apply the lessons learned and get our first win for the season. You can do it!!

It’s a Massive game for the ones and a win will keep us in touch with the top five. We showed some real endeavour and competed to the end last week and it will take all that plus starting at the start to get the points today.

Redlegs, we’re up for the Challenge. Belonging. Integrity. Commitment. Resilience. Pride. If you’re fair dinkum about creating success and being successful, days like this are made for you. Good luck to all players and teams.

Go Redlegs.
